Got something to say?
@PanayotiProductions oh man your so deep and contemplative. your original comment was so intellectually stimulating. i must be an imbecile for saying you have no spine. well allow me to get grey. what you said was spineless you may or may not be. i don’t really give a fuck. it just bugs me when people talk out of there ass before thinking. its like you were typing as you were thinking. (umm well, i think he’s overconfident but i still like him). why don’t you try thinking before you type.
@jimfox123sse = pseudo-intellectual asshole
@wtldbitch are you saying i have no spine because i am contemplative? fuck you you black and white thinking piece of turd.
@AreaJerm = prick
@PanayotiProductions i’m no godly mediator you can think whatever you want. but if you post comments that are inaccurate then prepare to have someone say other wise. You said he was over confident . i say he keeps an even keel going. you claim to like this man and then you proceed to diss on him and then back pedal and say Oh but i still like him. get a spine.
i am just observing true. but you are not a godly mediator to tell me how to think also so shut the fuck up. i do agree that even this guy as great as he is with his human flaws has become a great success and brought his ideas to fruition, unlike most lazy assholes who probably end up being film critics. i have great respect for the movie making business and one day i hope one of my screenplays will make it to the screen. heres to trying
Avatar show cinematic moviegoers are finally giving up on crap like Transformers 2, and instead are craving experiences like the original “star wars”. Who cares if the story’s been done before, the same could be said for most classics. Pseudo-intellectual movie snobs are the worst kinds of people on the planet, acting like they’re better than society because they can watch 2001 without fast forwarding.
shut the fuck up, your observations are not that insightful. he’s confident but he’s also hard on himself. he disses himself before someone else gets the chance. unlike most people who think they are perfect. not to mention he has the right to be confident. he’s successful. who the fuck are you some scum bag sitting around talking about some great movie your going to make some day. i’m glad kevin was pro-active and brought his movies to life. unlike you fags. judge everything, yet do nothing.
I like Kevin… Movies like avatar show how cinema has digressed and how people nowadays are interested in sitting there and not thinking at all and being entertained by flashing lights and 3-d, which ive nothing against new technology but Avatar being nominated for best picture? No, its the story pocahontas with new characters and setting. Movies like the hurt locker which grossed ~20mil (avatar in the billions) , ones that have story and believable flawed characters are good
Anyone looking to learn more about the film making process? I have some interesting film making ebooks that I can send to people who are really interested. Just send me your email address and I can send the film making ebooks to you ASAP.
the lighting set up in this interview is a bit sucky lol. The reflection in his glasses was annoying. Great interview though
Fuck you and your pseudo-intellectual bullshit.
“Avatar is so corporate. Go Kevin Smith and Independent filmmaking! I am so counter culture”
Faggots like you are the reason the film industry is dying.
because of him i’ve already writing a script but first im going to go to film school so that I can improve it and try to get it done.
Fuck James Camron and his Avatar bullshit. This guy should’ve made that superman movie however he wanted.
+ he can be fat and still be spotlight, defiantly a Leo thing.
I don’t get why he’s saying he’s getting the hanging of it now, when his new stuff is terrible in comparison to his classics…I would’ve hated chasing amy with that cast…
hes neurotic leo with a leo moon :0 very smart but he has huge confidence probs. nonetheless i like him.
I disagree that thats the same thing at all

That implies that if the first thing you write isn’t any good then you shouldn’t continue. Nothing could be more damaging to say to a group of budding writers or people of any profession. Shane Black’s (Lethal Weapon) first story was called “Super Pooper.” Quentin Tarantino’s first scripts were all 15 pages that ended up going nowhere and he never finished. Should these men have just decided they couldn’t write and stopped?
but you can only write if you can write
I guess that’s a legitimate criticism, but really, when people are asking him questions about himself, who is he supposed to talk about? If you asked him directly about the film making process, he’d probably tell you. But I don’t think was the question. I think the interview probably asked something about how *he* got into film making and his take on his career.
Because you get as close to the real person as you (in most cases) will ever be (and that sometimes is so different from what you may believe to know)
i like this guy.
I’ve always hated the fact that I didn’t know how to shoot video or edit. But I bought this book that? really helped me along
